In 2019 the RheinMainCityRace goes international
After the successful premier RheinMainCityRace 2018 the organisers were able to integrate the second edition into the City Race Euro Tour, and with that bring the RheinMainCityRace onto the international stage. The Frankfurt Rhein Main metropolitan region as an global finance centre and hub for worldwide air-travel is perfectly set up for such an event.
The RheinMainCityRace will be organised as a long distance race on an urban sprint map. The terrain in the middle of Darmstadt city offers big city flair alongside living precincts from the city's origin, the old campus of the technical university and the extensive pedestrian zone. For the elite classes, a course length of around 10-12 km is planned.
The weekend is rounded out by a sprint prologue on Friday on the new campus with park-like areas in the south east part of the city, as well as a double sprint on Saturday in Darmstadt-Arheilgen, an outlying district with small-town like structure, which also contributes to the Deutsche Park Tour. Also available during the entire weekend is a Photo-O in score format which leads the participants to some of the touristic highlights of Darmstadt.
