Travelling to Darmstadt

Car / Bus

Take the A5 or A67 towards the Darmstadt interchange, then take the A672 towards the city centre.

Air / Train / Public transport

The simplest travel destination for international participants is Frankfurt Airport. From here there is an express bus (AIR line / orange double decker bus) from Terminals 1 and 2 in 30 Minutes direct to Darmstadt central station and into the city centre. Tickets can be purchased from the driver.

From Luxembourg Airport and Frankfurt-Hahn Airport there is a flibco bus service as an airport shuttle running directly to Frankfurt Airport and Frankfurt central station. Travel time is respectively 4 and 2 hours. Tickets can be purchased online in advance or when still available from the driver.

Travel destination by train is Darmstadt Hbf (central station). Numerous regional trains (RE/RB 60, 66, 67, 68, 75, 80, 81, 82) arrive from Frankfurt, Mannheim and Heidelberg as well as the S3 metro. Darmstadt can also be reached via the Intercity and ICE train network. Further information via bahn.de.
